Vet’s this week

Malika and Taiko both went to the vet’s last night for their check-up, DA2PP and Rabies – they are now going to be ready for adoption and got a thumbs up from our vets. Malika is such a great puppy, Rottie mixed and just beautiful! Taiko, well he’s our gorgeous Malamute – such a beautiful big boy who loves attention and cuddles, he did so great at the vet’s, we lifted him on the table and he layed down patiently waiting until we were finished – great dog!

Hoping to see some of you tomorrow evening, the kids have rehearsed this week to prepare a great show – can’t wait to see it myself. Join us at the Fatboys, 34 Murray at 7pm. See you soon!

New arrivals

We got a little female Yorkie, 1.5 years old that came in this weekend and 2 chinchillas, not sure their ages though but they are looking for their forever home! If you are interested in our chins, we do accept Canadian Tire Money or gift cards for our critters, they are only $20 each, if both are bought together, they will come with the cage they are in now and their food.

Sita’s leg looks so much better, the swelling has completely gone down and her foot now looks almost normal. She is obviously a changed girl from the quiet sick doggy to a “run all over the place and jump on people to say hello kid” – will need to start training now that she is feeling much better! If she is by your side, she is a happy dog, was a bit nervous with certain men – including our vet but trusts me so will come say hello when I am besides her. She is sweet so will make a very good dog after a little bit of training!

It rained so hard this week and winds were so strong that it moved the car port which we are using as a shaded area for clients to sit in! So, we worked on getting that resolved this weekend, placing 2ft pins at each corner in hopes that this time it won’t move!!! Great weekend again although it was quite cold on Saturday but Sunday – all the doggies spent the day outside with us, it was quite nice in the afternoon!

Vet’s in a rush

I came home on Friday to find that Sita’s leg was swollen so much it was double it’s size and she was not feeling so well, this is a Doberman mixed Rottie we just picked up from the pound. I rushed her at the vet’s right away. Vet said it was an infection of some kind, she stayed overnight on IV and medications. She also came in with a few wounds on her nose! Needless to say, she wasn’t eating but the IV changed all that, I picked her up saturday afternoon from the vet’s and she is energetic, ate a big meal when we got home and then settled for the night! We tested for Parvo and Giardia/Coccidia in case as she had bloody stools but all came negative so not sure what all that is about yet – more tests to come! For now, she is on antibiotics and metrodonizale which stops the flu.

Vet’s this week

Bella the 2 year old Beagle went for her rabies and DA2PP, check-up and so did Pasha the approx 1.5 year old Belgian Sheppard, was booked for her spay yesterday with rabies and DA2PP. Both are now ready for adoption! Pasha is getting better every week, she now trusts all the volunteers but may sometimes shy away from certain men. She is a great girl though and once she loves you, she will follow you everywhere, great on walks and will trot by your side!

So, we also took Jacopi’s cone head off, he finally can lick his you know what without doing damage again lol. He is now fully healed and ready for his loving home. The photographer is coming this weekend so you will see all the new cute faces on here soon!

Thank you to everyone who thought of us and brought donations over the weekend – we appreciate your kindness and our doggies send you big hugs and kisses!

Navan Garage Sale & On-Line Auction

We are preparing for the Navan Garage Sale on June 15th, will be there from 9am to 2pm, location to come but probably at the arena in Navan. Also would like to hold the next on-line auction on our website due to clients request (those that don’t have facebook). We are hoping to get that organized by the end of the month. If you wish to donate items for either the garage sale or on-line auction, it is now time to do so. Thank you to those who have donated items for our last two on-line auctions, they were great and sold very well, raising funds for our babies!

We have many plastic crates for sale, from the critter size – x-small up to medium/large, we will bring many at the garage sale and may put a few in the on-line auction… but if you need a crate, come see us on weekends between 1-3pm or call to see if someone is available during the week to meet you! We need to give them a good wash as they were in the garage all winter but they should be ready and non-dusty this weekend lol.

Vet’s this week

We dropped off Klaus, Jacopi and Ezmyra at the vet’s on Wednesday for their spay/neuter and shots on Thursday. All went well except with Jacopi. When I went to pick him up last night, his stitches were opened so they had to put him back to sleep and fix it. Even with a cone on, he managed to get to them – how silly is that!? He is home with us now, got a longer cone so he can’t hurt himself and it needs to stay on him for at least a week. Otherwise, everyone else at NARC is fine.

Got another bin so will be working on more cleaning this weekend and hopefully planting more bushes or flowers. If anyone has extra perenials, now is the time to bring them to us!!!
