They say third time is a charm… Let’s hope we don’t have further issues with our website!! We’ve re-gained the old and lost the new but we will re-post everything shortly.
We are in need of Dog Food, although only a few dogs to care for – lately they have all been quite large breeds and with a great appetite Ha! Ha! We are in need of any dog or puppy food, pedigree vitality + or anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated.
We are foster based so please contact us to make an appointment to meet our rescues. Pictures coming shortly of our few dogs for adoption but for now:
Duke Dude, Great Dane x Dalmation approx. 10 months old, super sweet but a big boy at 37kg. Now neutered, Rabies, DAPP-L, dewormed, multi-advantage, etc…
Yoshi, 4-5 year old Pomeranian, shy with strangers at first but comes around quickly, very nice, quiet, loves attention and great with cats and other dogs.
Just to let you all know that the puppies aren’t in Navan or at NARC. All of our dogs are in foster homes all over the city. Some of you have dropped by today expecting to meet the puppies… Unfortunately, they are not with us to show off and they don’t have their first shots so we wouldn’t be introducing them to society even if we did have them! Please fill the adoption questionnaire found on this site under adoption information, send it in and a volunteer will get back to you on April 4th. They are receiving their shots on that day and when we get the vet’s thumbs up – we will start the process of calling adoptive families. Thank you everyone for your support, the food can be dropped here at NARC and I will deliver it to our foster families.
Our 9 beagle puppies are growing and starting to eat, we had some puppy chow so started them on that brand but will definitely need more! If you can donate a bag for our 9 little mouths that would be great. You can also wire transer money to email@example.com and a volunteer will pick up your back of choice. Thank you so much for helping our doggies when needed, we appreciate it dearly.
Wolf is not feeling too well, he started being sick at the vet’s yesterday, vomiting and diarrhea… He has been prescribed 4 different medications for a gastro intestinal disorder. Can you help us fund his veterinary care? Already at an amount of $600.00!! If so, please either contact Blackburn Animal Hospital at 613-590-0466 to place money on our account or send a cheque to Navan Animal Rescue Corporation, 4388 Navan Road, Navan, Ontario, K4B 1H9. Thank you so much for your help, he is such a sweet dog and we know in a few days he will feel better. Already late last night with the help of his medication the vomiting has stopped – a very good sign! It will take months for him to re-gain what should be his regular body mass but we have a good foster home to take care of him.
Wolf, our beautiful Black German Sheppard will stay at the vet’s overnight for his neuter in the morning then move to his foster home until he is placed. Lexi our pretty little 4-5 month old female Black German Sheppard x Lab is going for her first shots then to her foster family tonight with a great possibility of adoption.
Funny! – Wolf looks exactly like Midnight we had this summer and Lexi looks like Muller our boy from a few months ago… boy=girl and girl=boy Ha! Ha! Ha!
We were able to take them off death row thanks to wonderful people who have agreed to foster (hopefully to adopt) from NARC! Thank you so much for helping us get these beautiful creatures in a wonderful home and saving their lives!!!
Being foster based, we are always looking for people on stand-by and able to take in a dog on a moment’s notice. If you wish to foster for us, please e-mail and let us know. Help us save lives and give our wonderful rescues and opportunity to meet amazing people, enjoy and explore a new home. We unfortunately don’t have much information from our pounds except size!! All we can say is we get many Labrador’s, Lab x German Sheppard from certain areas and small breeds from others… It is CRUCIAL that we have people lined up and ready to accept these dogs, we don’t have much time when we get a call and if we can’t pull them right away once we are contacted – then their faith is sealed 🙁 Thank you so much for your support – NARC is founded by people such as yourselves and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Wishing everyone the best in 2016, health, love and happiness to all! Our doggies were spoiled in their foster homes during the holidays, I saw them during the holiday season and they were very excited to see me. We have Hulk and Muller going to the vet’s this week for their neuters and then returning to their foster families for recovery. Muller was ready for adoption as a puppy but now that he is getting his neuter will be placed at our adult rate. Hulk will be ready for adoption this weekend. Gorgeous black Labrador approx. 1.5 years old. I will post pictures tonight of all of our beautiful dogs in foster homes. Please contact us to make arrangements to meet with any of our rescues as we have to schedule it with our foster families. Thank you and Happy New Year!
We are in need of Pedigree Vitality +, Beneful or IAMS for our foster doggies! We are soon running out and will be in need to supply our dogs in foster care. You can drop off your items in our donations box at the front of the property or if the gates are opened, feel free to leave it on the porch! Thank you so much for your donations and help at this time of year! Hope everyone had a great Christmas and wishing you all a very Happy New Year!
Although our doggies are in foster homes, we still have to provide for them and we are running out of dog food! Give the gift of full tummies this holiday season by donating a bag of food for our rescues! We usually receive Pedigree Vitality Plus (beef or chicken) or Iams Dog food. Thank you everyone for your help and donations, they are not only needed but certainly greatly appreciated! Have a merry x-mas everyone!
We have a few new pooches in foster homes that are ready for adoption although as usual, we are closed now for the holiday season. Ari is approximately 6 years old, a whippet mixed probably Rat Terrier who is super sweet, great with other dogs, ignores the bird and cats so a great addition to any family. She is in her foster home gaining weight and recovering from her spay that was done last Thursday. We also have Muller, our gorgeous 4 month old Newfoundlander x possibly German Sheppard puppy who is super sweet and affectionate. He will definitely be a big doggy, you should see the paws on him. So far, our foster homes have become foster failures and adopted their NARC dog! Muller should be leaving with his foster home soon, let us know if you wish to meet him before he goes as he will then be only available on January 9th. He has his Rabies and DA2PP shots, not neutered as he is too young yet. We have turned our rescue to a foster based environment. NARC’s modular home is closed and business hours are no longer weekends but by appointment as we have to organize visits with our foster families. Thank you everyone for leaving donations in the drop off box at the front of the property. Although the facility is closed, we still require dog/puppy food and such items to provide our foster doggies the care they need.
Hello everyone, we have placed all of our doggies in permanent or foster homes this weekend and are closed until November 21st. We will respond to any e-mails or phone calls the weekend of the 21st of November. Thank you and talk with you soon!
