We are bringing Wookie, a tiny Yorkie mixed Shih-Tzu that may have a home lined up already, a client was really in love with our quiet girl last weekend.  She is going for her spay, dental cleaning and probably extractions from the looks of her mouth, rabies and DA2PP.  We are also bringing Jack, our new year old Golden Retreiver as we know many of our clients will want him soon, he is too adorable to pass up!  He is going for his neuter, Rabies and DA2PP.  Will let you know how they do tomorrow!

We brought the 3 new boxer mixed puppies to the vet’s for their first DA2PP shot, they turned 6 weeks on Tuesday so will be ready for adoption on Aug 9th.  Roxy had to go back to the vet’s, one stitch didn’t disolve and would have gotten infected so we had to go back.  They removed the stitch, put glue to close the little hole and off she went with antibiotics for the week to help with the healing.  She is such a baby and was crying the whole time like a child lol.  The puppies did a great job, pretty much slept through the whole thing, got their needles without a peep and came home.  They too will be on antibiotics for a week, with this crazy hot and mostly cold summer, we haven’t been closing the window on colder nights so Pink has a bit of the sniffles.  Nothing to worry about but he probably would spread it to his siblings so all three will be on antibiotics to help their little system!  Now to remember to close that window every evening – pretty cold in the country at night you know!

Dropped off Zander and Cara at the vet’s last night, they are getting neuter/spayed today, will pick them up tonight and let you know how they are doing!

On Thursday, I dropped off Roxy and Myra for their spay and brought our new little puppy named Lola for her shots.  Lola did a very good job at the vet’s that evening and had her first DA2PP and Rabies shots.  She is approx 3 months old, german mixed, very cute and will certainly be gone this weekend if someone is looking for a puppy!

Last night, I picked up the girls at the vet’s and Roxy was quite groggy and I could tell she wasn’t feeling well.  The car ride home was hard on her and made her sick to her tummy, poor little girl.  But, she is fine this morning and will be recovering with us till next weekend.  Please do not ask to see her this weekend, we do not let the dogs out when clients visit when they have just been spayed/neutered.  Give her time to recover!  Thank you.

I went to pick up the two groggy boys last night, Bruno cried all the way home, complaining how much it hurts and although Bailey was quiet, he did cry when coming out of the truck.  Poor boy also had a hernia removed so double surgeries for him.  They will be inside for at least 5 days recovering from their surgeries and be posted as available for the following weekend.  Please don’t ask to see these boys this weekend, it will be a definite NO!  If you are interested in them, you can fill the adoption questionnaire, send it along with your veterinary reference and we will get you pre-approved for the following weekend.  Thank you for your understanding!
