Elizabeth raised $1,000 for NARC, matching that amount herself personally so she made a deposit on our veterinary invoice for this week in the amount of $2,000. Thank you to everyone who supported her and us in all of this. A few other clients came with donations to “raise the roof”. The trusses are ordered and arriving next week, spoke to a few contractors to see how much it will cost to have them installed and awaiting an answer on that.
Wonderful volunteers came this weekend and dismantled the metal greenhouse I purchased last year at the neighbour’s house and are to bring it here at home and re-install it on my old slab – where my old house used to be before the fire. That will give us a great spot to bring the dogs into this winter to play ball, have fun and so that clients can interact with them more. It will be over 50 foot long and 25 wide which is wonderful, it is longer than that now but we will make it smaller so it is sturdier.
All in all, things are progressing as planned and looking good! All the volunteers are happy and can’t wait to see the end result. We also got a new dog run donated and installed it already, this is the 2nd large dog run donated this summer – awsome! Well, they will be even more awsome for next summer, with the weather changing we won’t be using them much now till next spring but at least we have them! Too bad it’s starting to get cold – boo hoo hoo!
