NARC’s Pets

We are foster based, by appointment only – please contact us to set up an appointment, we book either evenings or weekends, please e-mail or call to set up an appointment to meet with one of our rescues. Volunteers will be happy to serve you.

Senior dogs, small breeds over 9 years, medium to large breed over 7 years of age (rare)

Toy breeds are $600-$900 (any dog under 10 pounds is considered a Toy Breed)

Regular breeds $600-$900 (Shih-Tzu, Daschund, Lhasa Apso, Miniature Poodle, Bishon Frisé, Labrador, etc…)

Rare or Mastiff Breeds are $600-$900 (Italian Greyhound, Yorkie, Bulldog, Standard Poodle, etc…)

Puppies $400-$600, not spayed/neutered but will need to be done on or before a year old.

Our dogs will be dewormed, examined, most will be spayed/neutered (except puppies), DAPP, Rabies by one of our veterinarians. When funds are available, will have hernia or lump removals, Bordetella, Lepto, Lime or dental work done. Anyone that knows our rescue, knows we try to find funds for all major surgeries (Patella, amputations, eye removal, cherry eye, eye surgery…) so our doggies may come with all of the above!!

All of our rescues are treated with either Multi-Advantage, Advantage or Revolution once a month, dewormed with Strongid-T dewormer every 14 days and usually with Panacure for 3 days monthly. Heartguard or Next Guard is also administered monthly.

E-mail or give us a call to come and meet our rescues at:

adoptions@narc-charity.ca

Telephone: 613-834-7005

We do the most of what we can for our dogs and will raise funds for major surgeries at all times, we try hard to do dental on all of our rescues who need it; bad teeth could damage their longevity.  Of course, we only do those that the veterinaries recommend doing right away, others with normal usage and tartar who do not need major cleaning will not be done! If some of our rescues do not have all of the above vet care, they would mostly be missing their Bordetella, dental cleaning or Microchip! We try to take care of any major vetting when we can.

We do have Microchips, if you wish to Microchip your pet, give us a call, it also comes with 6 weeks free pet insurance.

We accept Canadian Tire money or donations. Donations are always needed to continue with our work! Our regular prices are between $700-$2,000 per dog to help cover part of veterinary costs (spay/neuter, rabies, dental cleaning, teeth removals, hernia removal, dewormers, multi-advantage, antibiotics, pain medications, training, food, dental bones, crates, etc…)

Yes, we try to keep our website up to date, the only times we have dogs that are not posted yet would be if we just picked them up and they are not vetted yet. Thank you.

  6. Jenni Meldrum says:

My friend Suki likes your rescue. I would like to volunteer to be a foster to dogs, who are 50lb or smaller, on an ongoing basis for you. I just euthanized Sweetey, 16 years old, in her Vet office she was soooo old, she was off of the charts. We had a long time together, she was good, and strong, when dogs came to board with us. She was a kind companion, to all of the dogs I walked.
    Sincerely,
    Jenni

Yes, Harley is up for adoption to the right family, someone who can show him they are the leader. He is a great boy here at the rescue as we are quite strict with our doggies but said to snap/bite at kids/people in his previous home. Thank you.
